Executive Committee Board Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order at 10:50 am

Attendance:  B. Addis, B. Folsom, C. Hay, A. Traino

General Discussions: (action items)

· Clarksville – quote for survey from Clough, Harbour  & Associates for $9,000.00 also working on a quote from CT Male Associates.  Needs: deeds from the Alberts, lawyer fees, environmental assessment, easement and parking. (Bob Addis & Joe Levinson)

· Fundraising - working on getting a system in place to accept credit cards.  Alan Traino has spoken with Bill Stringfellow with SCCI  - Alan Traino would have Clarksville fundraising at his office with technical help from Bill Folsom.    Proposed “Telethon” with 3 levels of sponsorship.  Other ideas passed around – will firm up.

· Write up for Clarksville for NSS News – Christa will collect info from Chuck Porter and Alan Traino for fundraising.

· Foreign Corporation – Bill Folsom is working on Vermont.

· Promotional items – Christa Hay to check with local vendor on embroidered logo prices.

· NSS Cave Conservancy Committee – NCC is now member – need to fill positions

· Acquisitions- working on the following:

v Ella Armstrong – property does not perk – owner has countered our offer at $25,000.00.

v Church & Wagon Wheel – Bob Addis & Christa Hay to check back with owner - $35- $40,000 is this a good price now?

v Pompy’s, Joober Hole, S. Bethlehem and Westfalls – all discussed but no action right now.
